Abstract
This resource aggregates data on the reservoirs and time series of reservoir storage within the Great Salt Lake Basin. It has been assembled by combining information from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR).

This resource holds Reservoirs data for the Great Salt Lake Basin. 2/12/24 Reservoir Storage raw data could be downloaded from two sources; USDA and USBR. There is some overlap between them. It is important to mention that USDA provide data more completely with longer period and coverage. For the GSL basin, USDA provides data for 19 reservoirs that listed below: Bear Lake.txt Causey Reservoir.txt Deer Creek.txt East Canyon Reservoir.txt Echo Reservoir.txt Grantsville Reservoir.txt Hyrum Reservoir.txt Jordanelle Reservoir.txt Lost Creek Reservoir.txt Montpelier Reservoir.txt Pineview Reservoir.txt Porcupine Reservoir.txt Rockport Reservoir.txt Settlement Canyon Reservoir.txt Smith And Morehouse Reservoir.txt Utah Lake.txt Willard Bay.txt Woodruff Creek.txt Woodruff Narrows.txt All raw text files downloaded from https://nwcc-apps.sc.egov.usda.gov/imap . USBR provides data in csv format and could be downloaded from https://data.usbr.gov/rise-map/ . This database provides data for 14 reservoirs listed below: Causey Reservoir.csv Deer Creek.csv East Canyon Reservoir.csv Echo Reservoir.csv Hyrum Reservoir.csv Jordanelle Reservoir.csv Lost Creek Reservoir.csv Lost Lake.csv Newton Reservoir and Dam.csv Pineview Reservoir.csv Rockport Reservoir.csv Trial Lake.csv Washington Lake.csv Willard Bay.csv There is some overlap( Lost Creek, Washington Lake, and Trial Lake are not covered by the USDA). So we have data for (19 from USDA/USBR + 3 just from USBR) 22 reservoirs in the GSL basin.
Data Services
The following web services are available for data contained in this resource. Geospatial Feature and Raster
data are made available via Open Geospatial Consortium Web Services. The provided links can be copied and pasted
into GIS software to access these data. Multidimensional NetCDF data are made available via a THREDDS Data Server
using remote data access protocols such as OPeNDAP. Other data services may be made available in the future to
support additional data types.
