Abstract
No wells were located within a 4500ft buffer around the highest methane levels (located in the lake), leading us to conclude that the methane was biogenic, not thermogenic (i.e. not from a well). Methane levels decreased as we moved downstream, since the methane was diluted. Increasing methane levels were detected in the late summer, possibly due to an increased population in agriculture or marine life.
