Abstract
My name is Rachel Ducote. I am a civil engineer graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. My home town is Hessmer, Louisiana located in Avoyelles Parish. I frequently spend my weekends in Hessmer visiting with my family. In my free time I enjoy watching movies/tv shows and shopping. I am very passionate about my home state and wish to continue my education in water resources in order to better serve Louisiana in times of disaster, especially hurricanes or extreme rainstorm events. I will be working diligently under distinguished professor Dr. Emad Habib at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
