Abstract

These folders contain geophysical data from the Little Beaver Creek, CO site of the Bedrock Cluster of NSF's Critical Zone Collaboration Network. This project, funded by grant NSF EAR-2012353, aims to provide the scientific community with unprecedented access to, data from, and knowledge of the deep CZ and its feedbacks with surface processes. This project tests a simple conceptual model that CZ structure, evolution, and processes are strongly influenced by bedrock conditions at the base of the CZ, including mineralogy, ambient stress, and inherited fractures, and that deep CZ processes are in turn influenced by surface processes like erosion, subsurface flow, and ecosystem productivity.

Data included in this folders include seismic refraction data at Little Beaver Creek, CO, collected in the summer of 2023.
