ABSTRACT:
This resource contains data for visualization experiments of shear-thinning fluids radially displacing silicone oil in a rough fracture, including videos and Excel files. The movie files show the evolution of displacement interface for all the radial displacement patterns. The patterns include : I, capillary fingering (CF); II, compact displacement (CD); III, viscous fingering (VF). The fracture aperture field is measured by using the light transmission method and provided in the spreadsheet file format. The last spreadsheet file includes the data for fractal dimension (Df) and displacement efficiency (Si) of the invading shear-thinning fluids, as a function of polymer concentration (Cp) and flow rate (Q) at the end of the experiments. Each experiment was repeated three times to ensure reproducibility of the results.
ABSTRACT:
This resource contains the image datasets for the manuscript "Radial invasion patterns of shear-thinning fluids in a rough fracture", including 718 invasion morphology images from 63 peer-reviewed publications investigating radial flow through porous media, Hele-Shaw cells, and rough fractures, and an Excel file that lists the information about these publications.
ABSTRACT:
This resource contains the datasets for the manuscript "Coupled effect of injection-induced fracture deformation and non-Newtonian rheology on multiphase flow behavior", including three Excel files for the data of the radial injection experiments of 0.1wt%, 0.3wt%, and 0.5wt% xanthan gum solutions.
ABSTRACT:
This resource contains the datasets for the manuscript "Radial displacement patterns of shear-thinning fluids in a Hele-Shaw cell considering the effect of deformation", including three Excel files for the data of the displacement experiments of silicone oil by 0.1wt%, 0.3wt%, and 0.5wt% polymer solutions.
