ABSTRACT:
This resource includes carbon dioxide (CO2) flux data and analysis from two different biological soil crust (biocrust) types collected in Moab, Utah. These biocrust types were experimentally given different amounts and frequencies of water treatments, after which CO2 flux was measured. These data were collected to understand how different amounts and frequencies of water influence gross primary production, respiration, and net soil exchange. Samples were collected manually a LI-8100A Automated Soil Gas Flux System (Li-Cor Inc, Lincoln, NE, USA). Methods implemented for sample collection and analysis are described within the resource.
