ABSTRACT:
This dataset supports a study investigating local and watershed-scale controls on sediment export under baseflow and stormflow conditions in a rural heterogeneous landscape in Northwest Arkansas. This is particularly relevant in regions like the Southeastern United States, where the majority of county roads are unpaved, making our findings broadly applicable to rural landscapes globally that face increasing challenges from climate change-induced precipitation patterns. This data includes monthly sampling for total suspended solids (TSS) and discharge (Q) at six road crossing sites (e.g., bridges, culverts, and direct stream crossings), as well as storm sampling four times during the February 2024 to January 2025 sampling period. Physical parameters such as dissolved oxygen and temperature are also included in this dataset.
