ABSTRACT:
The 100-year floodplain maps generated by Flood Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are not available for many watersheds in the United States (Data-scare regions). A collection of probabilistic 100-year floodplain maps for 17 watersheds (HUC12) in these data-scare regions is presented here. These maps are the results of a new geomorphic model which uses open source data, such as DEM, climate and temperature rasters (Jafarzadegan et al., 2018). The floodplain maps are raster files in TIFF format with spatial resolution of 30 meters. The geographic and projected coordinate system used for these maps are GCS North American 1983 and NAD 1983 UTM respectively. The value of each cell ranges between 0-1 which presents the probability of getting inundated by a 100-year flood event. The maps are available from the following HUC units: 150602030605, 110200020704, 140500050108, 031102010505, 051401040706, 030501060305, 140600080205, 020802040501, 170200160505, 140401040110, 101401021103, 170602080412, 170900050604, 180400080803, 101302010107, 101302010108, 170200160408.
