ABSTRACT:
This dataset covers the transport of erythromycin, a macrolide antibiotic, during laboratory adsorption experiments. Equilibrium experiments, isotherm experiments, and column experiments were conducted. Also included are bulk characteristic data of the tested substrates (soil, manure). Results suggest erythromycin is more mobile in the presence of manure, likely through interactions with manure-derived dissolved organic matter (DOM). Concentration data was obtained using ELISA kits. The soil and manure collected for this study were from upstate New York, USA. The conclusions from this dataset are currently under peer review.
ABSTRACT:
This teaching-as-research project was designed to understand the impact of teaching modality (lecture, hands-on-modeling, design analysis) on student outcomes of in-class engagements, student survey responses, and student grades. Attached are:
Survey distributed to students after each modality (StudentSurvey.pdf)
Consent to participate in research study (TARConsentForm_211018.pdf)
All data collected during study:
Class time data (ClassTimeData.csv; ActivityDefinitions.csv)
Class time data sheet (ClassTimeDataSheet.pdf)
Student grade data (StudentGrades.csv)
Student survey data (SurveyData.csv)
Model used for hands-on-modeling component (TAR_SWMM_Model.zip)
